Hilton Double Tree Check in:11am-11:30am Presentation:11:30am-1:00 pm Join us as Kati Cook & Will Rothenberg provide an update on significant legislative and other legal issues impacting the workplace, including significant employment law cases and legislation; agency activity from the DOL, EEOC, and NLRB. They will also summarize some of the developments and legislative activity employers should be on the lookout for in 2026. Meet your presenters 
Kati Cook is an associate who practices civil litigation and employment law, assisting businesses and individuals in various disputes from pre-suit matters to litigation. Kati has experience representing employers in discrimination and whistleblower claims in court and administrative proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Florida Commission on Human Relations. She has also been a featured speaker at business events on various employment and HR-related topics. Kati is our past Legislative Director and Current President-Elect for SHRM SWFL.  Will Rothenberg is a Lee County native and father of three children. He has served as the Director of Compensation & Labor Relations for the School District of Lee County for the past eight years. He is a graduate of the University of Central Florida and received his Juris Doctorate from Florida State University’s College of Law. He is a licensed attorney, who serves as the District’s liaison with labor unions representing instructional and support staff. Will is our current Legislative Director for SHRM SWFL.
