SHRM SWFL offers several Scholarship opportunities for our Chapter members. We encourage members to take advantage of these scholarship opportunities and apply. 

Academic scholarships - $1,000.00 each

These scholarships will be awarded to students in the pursuit of an educational program leading to a degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration with a related Human Resources or Management major. Applicants for the academic scholarship must be members of SHRM SWFL. One scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate, and one scholarship will be awarded to a graduate student. Academic scholarship applications must be submitted no later than September 30th annually. Scholarships will be awarded at the December meeting.

SHRM SWFL Academic Scholarship Application

Certification scholarships - up to $865.00 each

These scholarships will be awarded to Human Resource professionals pursuing the Society of Human Resource Management Certified Professional certification and completing all eligibility requirements to sit for the certification exam. Four (4) Certification scholarships will be awarded annually. Two scholarships will be awarded at the July and December meeting. Applicants for the certification scholarship must be members of the SHRM SWFL. Applications for the July award must be received by May 31st and applications for the December award must be submitted no later than September 30th.

Individuals are eligible to receive a maximum of one professional or one academic scholarship during any one particular scholarship cycle/window. Scholarship windows are (1) January - July and (2) August - December. The Association’s Board of Directors reserves the right to change, modify, and/or discontinue administration of this program at its sole discretion. Should this program be discontinued, all remaining funds would be administered as outlined herein until the available balance is exhausted.
