Our monthly Chapter meetings typically include:

• A one-hour presentation by a subject matter expert

• Time for Questions & Answers and discussion

• Opportunities to network with fellow HR professionals

• SHRM and HRCI Continuing education credits (CEUs)

Interested in Speaking at a Monthly Meeting?

We are always looking for dynamic, knowledgeable speakers to share insights with our Chapter members and guests. If you're passionate about Human Resources, leadership, compliance, or workplace culture—and have practical knowledge that can benefit our diverse audience—we'd love to hear from you!

The following are some guidelines to consider when developing a presentation: 

• Sessions must relate directly to the SHRM Body of Applied Skills and Knowledge™ (SHRM BASK™) of both SHRM and HRCI.  All presentations must qualify for SHRM Professional Development Credits and HRCI General or Strategic recertification credits. SHRM SWFL prioritizes content that is eligible for both credits.
• Presentations for chapter meetings should be at least 45 minutes and allow 15 minutes for questions.
• Presenters are expected to provide human resources related education and should not promote the speaker’s practice, services, or products.
• Presenters who would like to share their areas of expertise or interest will need to complete the below speaker submission form.

If you are interested in speaking at an upcoming Chapter meeting or conference, please complete the below Speaker Submission form. Your information will be routed to our VP, Programming for consideration. SHRM Southwest Florida schedules programming for our monthly meetings several months in advance. If your proposal is not selected immediately, it will be retained for one year for possible future use.
