Volunteer Opportunities

We offer a variety of board and volunteer roles to match different interests, time commitments, and experience levels. Some of our volunteer positions include:

Board & Committee Roles

• Membership and Volunteers – Welcome new members, engage existing ones, and support retention strategies
• Programs & Events – Help plan chapter meetings and conferences by finding speakers
• Inclusion and Diversity – Champion initiatives that foster inclusive workplaces
• College Relations – Connect with local universities and support emerging HR professionals
• Legislative Affairs – Monitor and share updates on HR-related legal and policy changes
• Social Media & Communications – Support communication efforts through website, newsletters, social media, and promotional efforts
• Sponsorship – Help secure partnerships and resources to support chapter goals
• Foundation and Scholarship – Help lead fundraising goals that provide support to Chapter scholarship efforts 
• Certification – Encourage SHRM-CP/SCP certification by promoting and assisting with study groups
