Hilton Double Tree Bell Tower Check in:11am-11:30am Presentation:11:30am-1:00 pm Participants will get a general overview of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) which will enable them to properly manage employees who also serve in the Guard and Reserves. Participants will learn what a Service Member's rights and responsibilities are under USERRA as well as the rights and responsibilities of Employers. Meet Your Presenter: 
Arden Dickey Arden Dickey serves as the Florida Sate Ombudsen Director for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense office that promotes cooperation between civilian employers and National Guard or Reserve service members. He has been an active volunteer with the ESGR since 1992 and also serves nationally on the ESGR Ombudsman Subcommittee as the "Volunteer of the Year" (VOTY) Ombudsman representative. Outside of his military support work, Dickey is a prominent public official in Florida local government and a retired media executive.Before retiring in 2020, Dickey built a 45-year career in the newspaper industry. He Currently serves as the elected District 4 Commissioner (representing Sunset Beach) for the City of Treasure Island Florida. He was first elected in March 2024 and won reelection unopposed in March 2026. Cost for Students: $15
