2020 has been quite a year for HR professionals and employers, from the ever-changing COVID-19 obligations to new protections for LGBTQ employees to an increased focus on racial justice.  To top that all off, the legal landscape may get even more interesting in 2021 depending on the outcome of the election.  Join us as SHRM SWFL Legislative Director Suzanne Boy provides an update on significant legislative and other legal issues impacting the workplace in 2020, including significant employment law cases, federal laws impacting employers, and agency activity from the DOL, EEOC, and NLRB. Suzanne will also summarize some of the developments employers should be on the lookout for in 2021.
